Uganda News

On Sunday at our church in Serere two people were born again. One was a young man and the other was a woman and both were visiting for the first time. It is great to see the Holy Spirit working in the hearts of Ugandans. Our new co-workers, the Alan Sutphen family are having a real difficult time getting their permanent visa to work here in Uganda. I wish you would pray for them and this situation. Our kids have been a little sick lately, nothing serious, but still not fun.

Wednesday Church

We are so excited about a young girl, Kevin, who was saved last night in our church service. She has been attending a Bible club held by one of our teenage girls, Agnes. She is using materials that we have provided and is doing a great job. This girl, Kevin, had been hearing the gospel for about three weeks in the Bible club and last night she accepted Christ. With all the challenges it is so encouraging to see the Holy Spirit working in the hearts of people here.

Good Tuesday

We are very thankful to be missionaries. We have been to happy to see the spiritual progress of our church people in Serere. The power has been on more than off lately so we are glad about that. I am so thankful for my wife and children. They bring a lot of happiness to me. I have been reading the two volume biography of James Hudson Taylor. Reading it as a missionary in a foreign country brings a lot more meaning than when I read it before. It has helped me see what others have gone through in other mission fields.

Good Day from Uganda

Hello from Soroti, Uganda. If you have electric power that is on all the time, be thankful. Our power has been off more than on recently. Please pray for my wife's family as her step father, John Magnuson, has passed away. He is now in heaven rejoicing and was fully ready to go. He was a great friend to our family and we all loved him very much. We are going to miss him terribly.
